Kim and Mike, Lutheran General

My husband and I are beyond grateful for Heather and our experience with her! From the very start, her warmth and calm energy made me feel safe and supported. For years, I imagined labor as something scary—but she helped make it one of the most beautiful memories of my life.

She didn’t just support me; she supported both my husband and I. She helped him feel confident and connected every step of the way, and that meant the world. Before she even arrived, she sent us tutorials on some movements we could do as a team to progress my labor and it was such a helpful and fun bonding experience. One of the moments I’m most thankful for was after delivery, she coached him to notice and enjoy the smallest things (like our baby's hand wrapped around his finger) and helped him be beyond present to enjoy our baby's first moments in the world. That’s something we’ll never forget and I’m really thankful Mike got to experience and enjoy.

We keep saying that it was the best day of our lives—not just because it’s the day our son was born, but because it was truly joyful and full of love. The room...between the music, the candles, and the camaraderie between everyone while delivering...felt euphoric. Heather was the reason it felt that way, and we’ll always be grateful.
